I guess with HD Video being streamed though youtube. The old internet isn’t coping

Back in the same Starbucks today and guess what…. they said I was allowed to have a drink without the lid on. I feel soo grown up!

No link to it I’m afraid but commuters got to see a smashing 5 Star Review of the Edinburgh Fringe Show. I’m not saying I’m one of those glass half empty people but…it read like a 6.

Just been in Starbucks Nicholson Street Edinburgh. I like a Flat White without a lid because the lid traps all the milk they charge you extra for. So I ask for the lid on the side and then drink the top couple of inches and then put the lid on.
“We can’t give it you without a lid”
“Why not”
“it’s the rules in case you spill it on your hand”
“Does that count for adults as well as children”
“yes”
“I’m 42 in March”
“I’m sorry”
“Why can I get this without a lid at every other Starbucks but not this one?”
“They’re breaking the rules”
“Well they’re using common sense and their initiative – can’t you?”
“No sorry. The paper cups don’t have handles so they need lids”
“Look though I’ve got thumbs I can hold a paper cup with my thumbs. I don’t need handles”
[I show her my thumbs]
“Sorry it’s the rules”
[She hands me the cup with lid on. I take lid off cup and hand it her back and walk off]
“Do you have a toilet”
“Yes just through there”
“Do you want to come with me in case I get my dick caught in my zip”

The point of the show is to accurately and comedically recreate the experience of seeing a real Spirit Medium. It’s not a drama or a screenplay.

The show needs a backstory like a fridge needs a hat.
